As human beings, we have basic needs that bring hope and joy to our lives; the need for security and the need to know that we are loved. Jesus Christ brings us both of these gifts. He provides us eternal security and also an unconditional love for you as His child. How does Ho do this? God's Plan For You John 3:16-17 "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only SOn, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." God has a heart that is overflowing with love for you. He not only speaks of that love in the Bible, but he shows it to you in many ways. The Bible lays out God's loving action plan for your life. Formed before the creation of the world and then fulfilled in our human history, God's action plan is one of rescue and salvation (being saved) for all of us who have sinned, who have chosen to do what we want instead of what God requires of us. The book of Romans from the New Testament clearly lays out this plan for you and for me. Romans 3:23 "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 6:23 "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 5:8 "God demonstrates His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." |
