| We Believe In The Power of God's Means of Grace | |
|---|---|
|
God has chosen to shower His grace and love upon us through simple, yet very powerful means: His Word (the Bible) and the Sacraments (Baptism and the Lord's Supper/Communion). We believe in the life-bringing power of Baptism and that in the Lord's Supper, Jesus comes to us in, with, and under the bread and wine to offer us His very body and blood (the real presence). In both of these Sacraments, the forgiveness of sins and strengthening of faith is offered and created. Romans 1:16-17 "I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For in the Gospel a righteousness from god is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: The righteous will live by faith." |
