By Caring & Sharing we spread the Word & Love of God to others by His Grace. "Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshipped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'" Matthew 28:16-20 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your mind and with all your strength ... Love your neighbor as yourself." Mark 12:29-31 The Vision Congregation wide commitment and involvement - "Develop a congregational heart for missions. Provide opportunities and encourage all members of Calvary to get involved in Missions at some level. Members of all ages will be given opportunity to initiate and support missions
Spreading the Gospel to ALL Nations - "Holding on to the rope" As a top priority support missionaries in the field spreading the Gospel to those who have not heard the good news of Jesus Christ. Hands-On Mission Activities - "Jump in and get your feet wet" A second priority will be hands-on mission projects involving the members of Calvary in outreach projects to the poor, disabled, ill and those in need of our help as Christians. This ministry strives to balance local, state and inter-national efforts and to involve as many members of Calvary as possible. Current Missions Support Calvary Lutheran Church has increased the mission focus by intentionally tithing 10% of the offerings. Currently we are supporting missionaries: Sharon Owens in Macau, Rev. Claude and Rhoda Houge in Kenya and a missionary in Kazakhstan, Russia. We are also supporting missions in Nebraska through the Winnebago Reservation and Hispanic Ministry in Lexington.
