In 1973, ground was broken for the new facility. (Along with expansion of church facilities came expansion of voting rights: in 1974, congregational voting privileges were extended to women.)
Calvary East was dedicated on July 14, 1974, with day school enrollment of 94 students k-6. Incidentally, the disposal of the 28th and Sumner property was made the following year, and the original church mortgage was burned. | ||||||||||||||||
