Our daughter attends the University of Tennessee and our son and his wife now live in Lincoln, NE.
Coordinator of Visitation - Pastor Verdell Schramm
Hi, I am Pastor Verdell Schramm. It is my privilege to serve at Calvary in the area of Visitation Ministry. My wife, Elaine and I have been at Calvary since 2004. My position includes enabling interaction and spiritual care for those who are unable to regularly participate in the community of Calvary without assistance. The ministry of encouraging and maintaining relationships amongst the people of God is a vital part of Calvary's vision of Loving, Learning and living. On a more personal level Elaine and I have four children and eight grandchildren. We enjoy our home in south Lincoln and like to travel. Besides the yard work at our home a personal hobby or interest of mine is staying tin touch with the Lincoln golf courses. Our Lord and Savior has blessed our life through the people and ministry of Calvary, I believe He will do the same for you.
Coordinator of Music Ministry- Sarah Korf
Thank you for visiting our website. I love being in involved in ministry at Calvary, as it's a worshipping family that truly strives to imitate Christ and serve our community. My "job" at Calvary is to coordinate several worship teams, which lead both our 8:00am "traditional" and 10:30am "contemporary" services. This means that all of our worship services are led by a team of vocalists and instrumentalists that spend time together in practice and prayer, as they prepare to lead the people of Calvary in worship. If you have musical talent, and feel called to serve in the area of leading worship, please drop me an email or find me on Sunday morning. About me: I've lived in Lincoln my entire life, and have served musically in worship since childhood. I play piano and trumpet, sing, and have even been involved in a few local bands over the years. I love recycling and biking to work. I've been married to Jon since July 2009, and you'll often see him playing bass or guitar alongside me. I pay the mortgage as an administrative assistant for an engineering and architecture consulting firm.
Coordinator of Discipleship - Grace Knuth
Welcome! I'm so glad you stopped by our website. Here's hoping we'll soon get the opportunity to meet in person! Until then, here's the scoop on me. I like to refer to myself as a Nebrexan, having moved from Texas to Nebraska at age 11. More recently I spent 4 years living in beautiful Northern California. There are few things that make my heart as happy as traveling. I love the experience of diving into a new culture-the people I meet, taking in the landscape, and trying new foods. Most recently I've been on mission trips to Kenya and Haiti. When I have down time you'll find me singing, drinking tea, playing guitar, painting, hiking, writing songs, bike riding (Lincoln has some amazing trails!) or curling up with a good book. My 65 lb lap dog, Frankie, and I live in central Lincoln with a group of friends in a Christian community we call "the Bollivar House."
Administrative Assistant - Elaine Lantz
I am passionate for the mission field, both home and abroad. I have participated in three mission trips to build houses for families in Tijuana, Mexico. We support various missions with our prayers and resources and is concerned for the physical needs as well as the spiritual needs of those who still need to hear the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. "Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? …Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead." James 2: 15, 16, 17b I'm a Nebraskan by birth. I married my husband Jim on August 9, 1969 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Crete Nebraska. We have two children, five grandchildren and one great grandson. We have been active members of Calvary since l976. We enjoy God's creation through camping and playing golf.
